Spain - 2011 Girona and surrounding area

 Walled city of Girona, Spain at least the older section is pictured here.  The city is located in Northeast Spain and near the Pyrenees, but also not far from the coast. Lance Armstrong resided here for 8 years while training for the Tour de France.

   Really friendly people in this area.  Stayed at the Bed and Breakfast Bells Oficis which is artfully decorated with contemporary art, plus originals from the German brotherhood who resided here.  The B & B is right on the  Ramblas and a great location for travelers as you stumble down the stairs and go another 100 feet onto the Ramblas and its bustle. Fortunately, you can not hear the bustle from the room I occupied.  So many places to consider eating that it seemingly would take years just to find the restaurants let alone eat at them.
